Oysters are groups of molluscs which grow in brackish or marine water, they can be cooked, eaten raw or canned. When consumed they should be fresh, or serious illness can result. Angels on Horseback is an appetizer with oysters wrapped in bacon strips and broiled.

Here are the ingredients:
12 shucked oysters
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/2 cup of dry white wine
salt and pepper to taste
6 slices lean bacon
- Mix the garlic, wine, salt and pepper together. Add the oysters. Marinate this mix for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Preheat the broiler.
- Cut all bacon slices in half, each oyster should be wrapped with a piece of bacon. Secure pieces with toothpicks.
- Both sides should be broiled until the bacon is crisp.
These “angels” can be cooked on an outdoor or rangetop grill also.
