Finish your meal with this great cake. Apples and raisins inside will keep this cake moist, and that means less oil and more health. Each serving provides only 196 Calories, 11 mg of Cholesterol, and total fat only 8 g.

  • 5 cups of tart apples, cored, peeled, chopped
  • 1 cup of dark raisins
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
  • 2 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 cup of sifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Take 13- by 9- by 2-inch pan and oil it.
  3. Combine apples with raisins, sugar, and pecans in large mixing bowl. Mix and let stand for 30 minutes.
  4. Stir in vanilla, oil, and egg. Sift together soda, flour, and cinnamon, and stir into apple mixture about a third at a time—just enough to moisten dry ingredients.
  5. Turn batter into pan. Bake for 40 minutes. Cool cake slightly before serving.

Oysters are groups of molluscs which grow in brackish or marine water, they can be cooked, eaten raw or canned. When consumed they should be fresh, or serious illness can result. Angels on Horseback is an appetizer with oysters wrapped in bacon strips and broiled.

Here are the ingredients:

12 shucked oysters
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/2 cup of dry white wine
salt and pepper to taste
6 slices lean bacon

  1. Mix the garlic, wine, salt and pepper together. Add the oysters. Marinate this mix for 10 to 20 minutes.
  2. Preheat the broiler.
  3. Cut all bacon slices in half, each oyster should be wrapped with a piece of bacon. Secure pieces with toothpicks.
  4. Both sides should be broiled until the bacon is crisp.

These “angels” can be cooked on an outdoor or rangetop grill also.
